Spending The Day with Grandma Sherry

Grandma SherryAddison, today you spent the whole day with your Grandma Sherry. She took you to meet all of her friends at the local Labor Union 165. Of course they were amazed at your presence.

Your Aunt Janene also came over to visit you at your Grandma Sherry’s house. You were very alert all day and took in everything. Friends and family alike are all happy happy to be with you. You entertained everyone with your smiles and coo’ing and little bursts of laughter.

Kite Flyin’ by the River

Addison, you and your mum and Gramma-Cat went to the park yesterday. We joined some friends to fly kites. It was fun. Gramma-cat couldn’t figure out her hi-tech kite, but will practice more this Summer and Fall. By the time you are old enough to run around, we’ll all be flying kites together. 🙂 The weather was hot, but it was nice in the shade. Your mum “slathered” you up with sun screen. We walked by the river. It was a pleasant day.

Cutting Be-be’s Fingernails

Addison, your Aunt likes to call you Be-Be (like bee-bee gun). She loves you allot.

Your mother accidentally cut one of your fingernails too close while you were sleeping. She drew blood. suprised

You started whimpering a little in your sleep. Your mother felt awful. All night.

But when you woke up you stuffed your fingers in your mouth as usual and apparently didn’t notice at all. You were your usually smiling, beautiful self.

Here’s a funny article about a dad cutting his be-be’s fingernails. Here’s part of the article.

Yes, I managed to cut too far down on her index finger and the result was that Josie let out a yelp and Erin let out a yelp and a tiny rind of actual blood appeared on the rim of her fingernail, which made me feel like I should probably cut off one of my own fingers, just to even things up.

A brief excerpt of the ensuing discourse:
Josie: WAHWAHWAH
Me: Oooops!
Erin: She’s bleeding!
Josie: WAHWAHWAHWAH
Me: She’s not bleeding.
Erin: What the hell is that?
Me: Huh.
Josie: WAHWAHWAH

First 4th O’July

Well Addison, you may be too young for the fireworks, but you did enjoy a night out on the town. Grandma-cat gave you a tour of the Village of Peoria Heights. Actually it was dusk when we ventured out. You stared up at the vast sky as I wheeled you along in your stroller. It was a beautiful evening, the weather was just right. And the sky was magnificant. What were you thinking about this world?

It takes allot of baby energy to take in all of the sights and sounds! By the time we headed back you were fast asleep. 🙂
